Heck & Wicker, Inc. has been actively involved in site preparation projects from virgin sites to modification of existing industrial manufacturing and municipal sites.
Most recently, Heck & Wicker, responded and signed agreements with WCA , Arcadia Kansas in the preparation of a new waste transfer station for Labette County in Southeast Kansas. The chosen site was a closed sanitary landfill, which produced an ideal location for the new construction. Work primarily contained disposal of contaminated water, rock excavation, select granular fill, and preparation for structural concrete. Heck & Wicker constructed concrete containment structures and assisted in steel erection at the completed facility.
Heck & Wicker with the City of Parsons and LaForge and Budd Construction in the removal and disposal of streets and structures in the City of Parsons Downtown Revitalization project# 2002-5.
We have been actively involved at the KAAP, working under the direction and quality control of the US Corp of Engineers, Tulsa District, in site preparation for the administrative offices, existing renovations of underground sanitary sewer and water infrastructure.
Heck & Wicker, Inc. was the general contractor for the City of Parsons Overhead Element Project 2004-4. This is a one of a kind artistic ironwork. Heck & Wicker and Unique Metal Fabricators (www.umfi.com) designed the element. The project consisted of reinforced concrete piers, masonry stone and brick completed by Scott Crain Masonry of Pittsburg, KS, and fabrication erection of the final assembly.
Heck & Wicker, Inc. has participated in furnishing leasing and rental equipment through Machinery Maintenance to the various transportation divisions in this facility.
